Michael Stevens joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2017 and is a member of the Real Estate and Business Law Group at Monaghan, P.C. He represents public entities in land acquisition and condemnation matters.

Mr. Stevens also represents businesses and individual clients in connection with commercial and residential real estate matters including land acquisitions, leasing of real estate such as office buildings, industrial buildings and warehouses, and land development. Mr. Stevens advises clients in a wide range of employment law issues including employment termination, negotiating employment agreements for both the individual and the company, and assisting closely held businesses in defending claims of employment discrimination, wrongful termination and breach of contract.

He also represents clients on corporate matters including formation of new companies, operating agreements, partnership agreements, and collection matters. Mr. Stevens is motivated and committed to representing his clients in a manner that is professional and cost-effective.

In law school, he participated in the Criminal Trial Clinic and represented indigent misdemeanor defendant’s pro bono in 52nd district court in Detroit In college, Michael studied abroad in Berlin, Germany, focusing on German urban land use issues through examining several functions of agriculture and horticulture in Berlin including ecological functions and conservation of resources through recycling of waste.

Michael Stevens earned his Eagle Scout Award in 2000.
